SS. Mary & John Catholic Primary School
This owlet is a celebration of Year Three’s writing and artwork. Rather than creating a single theme, pupils voted for contributors by creating a collage of individual feathers, inspired by the pupils’ studies on Aztecs. The name reflects the owlet’s strange appearance – he has a two-winged body and many eyes, all of which have been created using photographs of everyone involved.

This owlet is a celebration of Year 3 pupils’ writing and artwork. Rather than working toward a single theme, pupils voted for a member of each class to contribute to the finished owlet by creating a collage of individual feathers. The owlet features artwork linked to the school’s current thematic unit on chocolate, focusing on Aztecs. The name ‘Megalonychus Diptera I’ reflects the owlet’s clawed, two-winged body.
