St Bernard’s Catholic Primary School
Lord of the Wings was initially inspired by J. R. R. Tolkien who spent much of his time at Sarehole Mill, surrounded by an area filled with flora and fauna and other life forms. This led the school to the artist, William Morris, who featured natural forms in his work. The owlet design evolved over time, created by children from Year 2 to Year 6.
