The design is inspired by abstract natural forms as well as the work of the artist Stanley Donwood. The design depicts the 24 hour Wellbeing services that are aimed at all age groups including families, the elderly and those with a disability in the city, and aims to promote the importance of nature and the outdoor environment to all members of the public.
Artist: Craig Earp
Craig designed the artwork to fit around the form of the owl sculpture – incorporating his style and also responding to input from the different departments of Birmingham Wellbeing Service, over a series of consultations.
The Wellbeing Service focuses on encouraging Birmingham’s citizens to be physically active and involved in their local community across a range of settings, including open spaces.
