The Big Hoot was all about partnerships. It offered a unique opportunity for local businesses, the cultural sector, schools, charities, local community groups and individuals to team up to create the city’s biggest ever mass participation, public art event. Sponsors of one of the giant, individually designed owls (displayed in a high-profile, specially designated location) have gained a unique opportunity to showcase their organisation’s brand and services, while accessing a wide range of marketing and PR opportunities.
“This is a tremendous initiative by one of the most important assets Birmingham has. The Children’s Hospital is a leader in its field and an event like this will contribute a great deal towards people understanding their work and getting to know the city.”
“We believe The Big Hoot deserves all the support the region can give it. The economic benefits from similar events across the UK have been significant and it provides an opportunity to showcase the best of Birmingham, including its diverse culture, with the arts and business community coming together.”
Jerry Blackett, Chief Executive, Birmingham Chamber of Commerce
