About Phil West
Phil, a Brighton-based graphic designer and illustrator, has been inspired by nature since childhood child, and has always admired Frida Kahlo’s portraits and colourful paintings of Mexico’s wildlife.
He has not been to Mexico yet, but has travelled over 50 per cent of the world. He vlogs about his travels and the amazing art he sees on his YouTube channel, West Goes East.
The Big Hoot is his third art trail exhibit – he has also painted for the Shaun in the City and Gromit Unleashed trails.
