About Serena

Serena Sussex award winning Brighton artist. Her inspiration is the love of nature, a celebration of life through paintings, portraying a sense of tranquillity and an air of mystery showing the wonders of nature and life in oil or mixed media on canvas. She’s previously painted two sculptures for other Wild in Art trails. A snail ‘Quadraosnaila’ and a Shaun the Sheep ‘Bridget ‘inspired by the Optical artist Bridget Riley.

Her design ‘The Expanding the Soul through Music’ giant hand painted globe was picked for the The World Reimagined a ground-breaking, national art education project to understand the Transatlantic Trade in Enslaved Africans and its impact. Her ‘Autumn Walk Landscape’ painting was selected by IKEA store as a limited-edition print on canvas.

Twice Serena has won by a public vote for the winner.  Brighton Artist of the year in 2005 and at Atelier Gallery in 2022 a group exhibition.
