Bacchus is the Roman god of wine and vegetation, representing fertility and vineyards. There are more than 50 vineyards in West Sussex – the highest number in the whole UK – with several around Arundel and Chichester. Artist Martha sees Bacchus as a great character to represent this rich area both in nature and history, and hopes he will bring good harvests, celebrations, and a happy art trail to the area.

The Owls will raise funds at Auction

The legacy of The Big Hoot continues as in September 2024, the sculptures will take centre stage at a glittering auction to raise vital funds for Chestnut Tree House children’s hospice.
