Suffolk Agricultural Association
The Suffolk Agricultural Association (SAA) has joined The Big Hoot Ipswich 2022 in aid of St Elizabeth Hospice as the lead Education Partner in the 2022 art trail.
As Education Partner, the SAA will host a unique opportunity for people to see The Big Hoot parliament, the 100 young Owl sculptures, at the Suffolk Show on Tuesday 31 May and Wednesday 1 June 2022. The display will be a special preview for show visitors to see all the young Owls together before the art trail officially opens a few weeks later.
As a charity, the SAA’s core purpose is to be a force for good and be trusted and relevant to all matters’ food, farming and the environment. The SAA achieves this through the Suffolk Show as well as a series of education programmes aimed at young people in schools and colleges. Following a two-year absence the programme will be back to full strength in 2022. Primary schools are asked to register their interested in taking part in the Suffolk Farming School of the Year and Schools Show Garden Competitions, School Farm and Country Fair in April 2022 and Food & Farming Student Day in June 2022 aimed at 13 to 16 year olds.
